Hello, I'm Indigo and this is my video game walkthrough blog. I'm not amazing but I try my best. I mostly do rpg's because faster paced games are more difficult to screenshot, but that's mostly what I play to begin with so it works out well. Games are mostly going to be Nes/Snes/Gameboy/Gameboy Advance. I hope what I've done can be helpful!

Megaman Zero: Mission 1A (Destroy Train)

Destroy Train (5/7)
"We want to destroy the enemy transport train in order to disrupt their supply.
Based on the report from our scout unit... The enemy train is at the old platform
loading cargo. The time to attack is now. Please help us destroy that train."

Accept the mission, naturally. And off we go on our happy little guerrilla warfare adventure! Right when you start, if you go right past the ladder you can pick up some energy crystals.

There is a 1up in this alcove, off to the left after you climb down the ladder. Just slide down the wall to find it.

Pwn status: Iminent.

Itemon (1/5)
This elf busts out of the corpse of the fifth (or so) Kerberos you destroy. Which is a bit annoying since there are only four in the mission - you have to make one re-appear. Maybe even a few, since some of them are in tricky spots and tend to drive themselves into bottomless pits.

The Snakables hanging from the ceiling can be cut with your saber, just so you know. It might be helpful for not falling and dying.

Bireff
This precious scamp is hiding up in an alcove. It's just before the shutter to the miniboss's room, but you should be able to pick out the location without backtracking since it's the only section where the roof hangs so low. Wall-climb up the wall and you will come across a small niche with a crate inside.

This is the miniboss Metalook, getting a sword in its vulnerable parts. It's weak to lightning, not that you really need it. It will basically just move closer to you and once in a while it will either try to shoot you or whack you in the face with a flail. Just hit it with a charged shot to knock it over and hack away.

Beesus (2/5)
Get it by defeating the miniboss. I'm including this in the one-chance elves but you can't miss it unless you really try.

Buffer [700 EC] (3/5)
This guy is obtained from defeating the Pantheon Warriors. It's not too hard to get the required amount if you stick to the top of the train cars.

In yoga we call this the "Oh crap too close, run away" stance.

Hafmargo [1000 EC] (4/5)
This elf is gained by defeating several Crush Rollers. Just sticking to the upper level isn't going to be enough for this enemy, you will have to make one re-appear a couple times to get the elf to appear.

Birdian (5/5)
The last of the missable elves in this level. You get this one from the little green Rayvens. These enemies are placed in sort-of tricky spots, and you will definitely need to make them re-appear once or twice to get the elf. Luckily the time limit you've got on the second half of the mission isn't too much of an issue.

Boss: Pantheon Core
Weakness: Lightning
Reward: Cyber Elf

You know, some people might wonder why a train engine needs a bunch of spikes on the ceiling. Or a flamethrower. Or a floor covered in pistons that try to shove people into the ceiling spikes. Or a sentient robot build into its center. But not me. You want spikes and fire? That's cool. Whatever makes you feel better at the end of the day.

Performing maintenance on this thing must be one heck of a chore.

But anyway. For most of the fight, the little hose on the bottom will be letting out puffs of fire. It will generally unleash two small puffs that won't hurt you, then a bigger one. After shooting out the bigger one twice it will do two more small puffs and then a super big one that reaches more than half way across the screen.

Its other main attack consists of raising the pistons on the floor to try to crush you against the ceiling spikes. You will only have a moment's notice when the one you are standing on starts to rise up, so dash off of it as soon as you can. It will raise up two or three in a row, so don't stop dashing around until you see it start to puff out fire again.

This is the core's EX Skill "Brain Pressure". As you see, it will trap you between two pistons and move toward you while shooting fire. It will move over roughly one entire piston, and it will NOT move back.

Totten (1500/3000 EC)
And this elf is our reward for the mission. This HORRIBLE creature takes 4500 EC to "raise" it completely.  However, the horribleness is diminished (very) slightly since completing this mission will give you the option of doing the "Occupy Factory" mission. Once that area is cleared out we will have access to a rather large stock of energy crystals.

Post-Mission
There's no elves to collect here, but if you feel like it, you can take a bit of a detour. Head all the way up the elevator and out of the resistance base, then head right toward the disposal center. You will come across a ladder leading down that will take you to the area where you started the previous mission. Follow it all the way to where the train was and you will find a door. This isn't important - we actually came here for the ladder just above the door. Climb it and make your way through the halls to another door - this one containing a Trans Server.

Activate it, then teleport out. It will come in handy a little bit later.
